Wounded Combat Veteran Receives a Custom Trike Built in South Oregon

A wounded combat veteran from Tennessee has received a customized trike built in Medford. Organizers loaded the trike into a trailer to be hauled down to California for the unveiling ceremony.

Veteran Shaun Meadows is a 31-year-old Afghanistan combat veteran. While deployed in Afghanistan in 2008, he was injured by an IED and became a bi-lateral above-knee amputee.

Meadows visited Thunderstruck Custom Bikes last fall to be fitted for his trike. Community members raised money locally to support funding the necessary structural changes to the donated motorcycle.

The Combat Hero Bike Build organization provides support to veterans all over the country.

The trike looks incredibly cool, with amazing paint job done by Sucker Punch Painting.
