Gonzales, La – Two people are dead after a 14-year-old car driver crashed into a motorcycle while driving in the wrong lane on Airline Highway in Ascension Parish.
Louisiana State Police officers say the crash happened around 2 a.m. The juvenile driver was traveling westbound but then decided to begin driving in the eastbound lane “for reasons still unknown” and struck a motorcycle head-on. His car continued driving westbound and came to a stop after stri8king a utility pole.
Unfortunately, the motorcycle driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. This was 45-year-old Dusty Duet’s and 42-year-old Robert Stafford’s last ride.
The teenager who killed them suffered moderate injuries and is getting treated at a local hospital.
Charges are pending and this crash remains under investigation.
