LEXINGTON, Ky (LEX 18) A crook was caught on camera breaking into the Man o’ War Harley-Davidson.
The thief was caught on camera prying open the door around 12:30 a.m. after Christmas Day.
“Yeah, the security alarm went off, police got here very quickly,” said Josh Bentley, the store’s general manager.
The burglar moved quickly, working his way down a clothing rack and grabbing expensive Harley Davidson jackets.
“You know, it almost seemed like they probably had set stuff up to know where it was, because they went to very particular spots,” said Bentley.
The man gathers as much as he can pile in his arms and then leaves the store.
Bentley told LEX 18 that Harley-Davidson is more than a brand or a store.
“The cool thing about Harley is that it is a community. There’s a real relational aspect to this lifestyle, and people look out for each other in this. You know, the old school mentality where if somebody broke down on the side of the road, people stop to help. That’s still very much there,” said Bentley.
He hopes that anyone who recognizes the thief can help that community.
