The creative motorcycle builder Jesse Rooke was killed in a motorcycle accident during Arizona Bike Week on April 5th.
Early that morning, the world lost incredible talent off of Carefree Highway in Phoenix, AZ. Rooke left behind his partner Ashley Blair and their daughter Scarlett.
Jesse is well-known in the motorcycle world as a top custom bike designer and builder, and his exceptional “out of the box” way of thinking has never ceased to amaze.
The talented motorcycle lover entered the customizing world after an accident has left him semi-paralyzed. He began playing around and tweaking bikes during his recovery. His Jesse Rooke Customs in Huntington Beach, California quickly developed a reputation for his outstanding design talent.
Rooke’s first bike, the groundbreaking “Dinah” rolled into the custom bike scene in 2002, and his refreshing, innovative style left everyone feeling starstruck.
Thanks to his designs that melded crazy racing elements with a chopper-y aesthetics, Jesse made a name for himself in the custom scene. He was always looking for unique aspects while successfully shaking up the traditional custom formula with his unconventional designs.
Jesse made several appearances on Discovery Channel’s Biker Build-Off, including the legendary episode with one of his most famous bikes, the KTM-engine board tracker “Darla.”
Jesse Rooke was only 45 years old. His family has set up a GoFundMe page for help with upcoming expenses.
