Dewey Taylor, a U.S. Army veteran fought for our freedom and now his own freedom is taken away from him.
“Someone took my bike. I couldn’t believe it wasn’t there,” he said for WHAS11.
Dewey’s most prized possession was his Harley Davidson. This was the first bike he rode since a serious motorcycle crash in the ‘80s that ended his military career.
“I lost my leg on a bike,” Taylor explained.
He was hit by a drunk driver while riding his motorcycle and had to have his leg amputated. He didn’t ride again for 19 years until he finally bought his bright red Harley in 2009.
The bike was stolen out of his driveway over the weekend. He feels his motorcycle gave him freedom, and now he’s lost it.
