MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – More than 500 bikers got together in Myrtle Beach saturday, to raise money and collect toys for children.
Bikers call it the Toy Run, they started at Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson and made their way up to the Boat House for an after party.
Those who joined say they wanted to make sure children got the chance to enjoy the holiday.
Organizers asked for a $10 donation, or an unwrapped toy to ride and said the response was an unprecedented success.
“Theres a saying that bikers have big hearts and this event proves it. Unfortunately we do have those in the community that are less fortunate, so what better way to start the holiday season than by giving back,” said Sheri Gibson, marketing director for Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson.
All of the toys donated and money brought in from the 6th annual Toy Run are being given to the Horry County Red Cross.
