Authorities say that a mother of five children died early Sunday after being thrown from the back of a motorcycle on Florida State Road 200, FOX 13 reports.
Shannon Bollinger was 29 years old and she was a passenger on her husband’s 2007 Harley.
Her husband, Curtis Bollinger, 47 lost control over his motorcycle and Shannon landed on the roadway. Unfortunately, that’s where she got hit by a Hyundai driven by 19-year-old Brandon Graham, the FHP report says.
Shannon was killed and her husband was seriously injured.
Curtis Bollinger was badly hurt in December 2016 in a hit-and-run. The Navy veteran and Nassau County firefighter needed several operations after someone hit his motorcycle a couple of years ago. He and his wife Shannon have five children.
Toxicology reports for Shannon and Curtis Bollinger are pending, according to FHP. The report says Shannon wasn’t wearing protective gear.
