Whether you’re a fan of Keanu Reeves as an actor or not, his passion for motorcycles is something every biker can relate to and admire. Reeves has long been a serious motorcycle enthusiast, and he even co-founded an L.A. custom chop called Arch Motorcycles – which is pretty awesome.
His motorcycle company produces only several different bikes, but each one of them is a particular machine with outstanding components and a lot of things that were custom built in-house.
GQ magazine recently interviewed Reeves, and he was very open about his passion for anything on two wheels. He discusses his love for motorcycles and tells an exciting story about how he started Arch Motorcycles.
The Matrix star showed off some of his most treasured motorcycles from his collection at Arch HQ. You will see a bunch of beauties and powerful machines, from his favorite riding buddy, the 1973 Norton Commando 850 MK2A, to the Green Ducati from The Matrix Reloaded, to his personal favorite custom-built Arch bikes.
“For me, it’s the visceral quality of it, the wind, the sound,” Reeves says about his passion for motorcycles. “It’s really just a great place to get away. When I don’t ride a motorcycle, I go through withdrawal. It’s not good for my health.”
One bike stands out in the collection – the Method 143 concept motorcycle that Arch motorcycle has built. The famous actor says the bike will get more carbon fiber and eventually become a production motorcycle.
