Women Learn to Ride Motorcycles for Cancer Awareness

HOUSTON — Get your motor running, but before you head out on the highway — you’ve gotta learn how to handle your hog.

This is exactly what eleven brave women spent the weekend doing.

Mancuso Harley-Davidson hosted the first-ever all women rider training class.

“What we do is we take people who have never ridden before, and people who have ridden before and we teach them basically to be safe on a motorcycle,” explains instructor Mindy Manley.

Need extra incentive?

How about this? A portion of each student`s tuition is being donated to the American Cancer Society in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“By the end of the two days you’ll be certified and ready to ride your motorcycle and get the wind in your hair and on the road,” says Kevin Kaufman of Mancuso Harley-Davidson.

“I’m totally ready. I’m ready to just get out of second gear for once,” student Brenda DeBerry.

So sign up for rider training if you want to travel Texas on two wheels.
