COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A family from Colorado Springs is asking for the public’s help in tracking down a stolen motorcycle that carries a priceless piece of their family.
In the night between Saturday and Sunday, a 1972 Harley Davidson FHL was stolen. Attached to the motorcycle was the ashes of the owner’s late wife. Although the motorcycle itself is worth about $10,000, the ashes that were in a container welded onto the fuel tank are considered priceless.
“He wanted to continue to ride with her for the rest of his life,” said Sammy Gallagher referring to why her father placed her mother’s ashes with the bike.
The bike was parked along W. Vermijo Avenue in Colorado Springs. The Colorado license plate on the bike is 404-RKH.
If you have any information on this crime, please contact Colorado Springs police at 719-444-7000.
