Kansas City – According to a Worker Adjustment and Retaining Notification letter delivered to Mayor Sly James, layoffs at the Kansas City Harley-Davidson plant will begin in early August.
On or around Augusts 3, the company will lay off approximately 180 employees, which is going to be the first round of layoffs expected to happen in the metro area.
Around 800 jobs will be cut in Kansas City when Harley-Davidson closes its motorcycle assembly plant in the upcoming months.
The plant will definitely close in July 2019, Harley-Davidson announced.
