Maud Cartlidge, a charming biker lady, was celebrating her 101st birthday at Autumn Lodge care home in Moss Lane surrounded by her friends and family. She was more than surprised when a whole convoy of over 100 motorcycles crashed the party!
Biker Paul Green organized the surprise on Facebook and drove lots of bikers from around the whole area.
The bikers gifted Maud a motorcycle statue with a plaque saying: “Happy 101st Birthday Maud” which she promised to place in the lounge of the care home so everyone could see it.
The biker lady rode on the back of a trike, leading the convoy and was completely overwhelmed.
Maud said: “It’s very exciting, I love the noise the bikes make, I’m very overwhelmed but that ride was amazing, it’s so nice to not be forgotten.”
Many of the bikers bought cards and flowers to help Maud celebrate her special day.
