The world’s first hoverbike Scorpion 3 is here! Developers claim it’s incredibly simple to fly this bike, you actually don’t need any previous experience before taking it for a spin in the sky. The quad-copter drone allows the rider to navigate as if they were riding a regular motorcycle.
This bike is hoped to become a mainstream mode of transportation in the future.
In this footage, you can see the world’s first fully-manned bike being tested in a warehouse.
Hoversurf, the manufacturer behind the incredible technology, have built a single-seat aircraft capable of lifting a person in the sky with full passenger control. Creators say the Scorpion-3 can carry 19 stone in weight while hitting at speeds of 30 miles per hour and reach an altitude of 33 feet. It can stay in the air for up to 27 minutes.
An inbuilt safety mechanism limits the maximum speed and altitude of the aircraft in order to prevent accidents.
