Norman Reedus To Star In New AMC Motorcycle Series

If you’re a Walking Dead fan, you probably know Daryl Dixon has barely spent any time off his motorcycle until he lost it on the last episode past Sunday. This doesn’t mean Norman Reedus is done with his time spent riding a bike on AMC. He will be spending a lot of time on the bike while staring for a new non-fiction series titled simply Ride With Norman Reedus.

Consisting of six one-hour episodes that will debut in 2016, Ride will follow Reedus and a different riding companion in a different city each week as they travel to a destination and explore motorcycle culture along the way.

“I’m incredibly excited and thankful to AMC for giving me the opportunity to share a passion of mine with our fans, and hopefully a whole new audience,” said Reedus in a statement released by the network. “I had a lot of fun filming and exploring, and I hope it shows.”

AMC says that the show will “celebrate some of the best and brightest collectors, mechanics and motorcycle craftsmen around the country.”

They are also very excited to get into business with Norman beyond the Walking Dead series.

“We love being the home of people’s passion projects, and there is nobody more passionate about motorcycles than Norman Reedus,” said Joel Stillerman, president of original programming and development for AMC. “He is an avid rider and aficionado who is deeply immersed in motorcycle culture. There is also nobody more fun to hang out with. This show will bring those two elements together for a weekly ride into the incredible world of motorcycles and the people who live and breathe them.”

The preparations are already in line and the team is checking out places for the rides.

“We’re right now in the stages of mapping out where we’re going and who we’re going with,” says Norman. “And we’ve got great locations and great rides that we’re planning on right now and with some guests in mind that will come on the show and we’ll go on a journey with them. And hopefully the viewers will feel like they’re on a journey with us.”
