Motorcyclist Recognizes Stolen Bike on the News During Police Pursuit

Orlando, Fla – A man from Orange County was happy to be reunited with his motorcycle just several hours after it was stolen from him.

Chris Rodrigues’ bike was stolen early Wednesday morning. A couple of hours later, he was shocked to see his motorcycle on television. He was watching news coverage of a police pursuit in East Orlando when he noticed the motorcycle being chased looks incredibly similar to his.

After looking at it a bit more, he realized that it was, indeed, his bike the police was chasing.

As he kept watching, he remembered he left the tank of the bike nearly empty and started laughing.

“That’s why he pulled over, he ran out of gas.  I had one bar left and riding like that, you can’t get that far,” said Rodrigues, FOX TV reports. “It was pretty funny, I was laughing at him on TV.”

Rodrigues says the lack of gas is probably the reason the suspect dumped the motorcycle, which then resulted in his capture.

This motorcyclist says it was one of the craziest things that have ever happened to him. He didn’t think he would ever see his bike again so he was thrilled to get his riding buddy back.
