FedEx Steps in to Help Toys for Tots With Transportation Problem

The annual Toys for Tots ride is coming up this weekend, but they’ve come across a bit of a trouble. Then, FedEx stepped in to help out!

The container this organization lined up to be filled with all the toys fell through, but FedEx offered to help and provide a 28-foot container to carry the toys to the Toys for Tots warehouse.

Organizers are now challenging the Mid-South to fill up the container.

Dawn Pope has been involved in the charity event for years, along with Sgt. John Paat and the Marines, helping out in any way she can.

This is what she posted on Facebook:

ATTENTION MID-SOUTH!!!

Your Toys for Tots Motorcycle Run was in trouble. Previous methods for hauling your precious gifts from the Navy Base to the Toys for Tots warehouse were no longer available!

BIG HUGE THANK YOU goes out to Memphis’ own Fed-Ex Freight for supplying a 28′ container at the N-82 Gymnasium parking lot for you to consolidate all of your donations at the end of the run AND a driver to carry your donations back to the Toys for Tots warehouse.

CHALLENGE!!!!!

Let’s show Fed-Ex Freight how much we appreciate their assistance, by FILLING that container. Everyone be sure to load up with as many toys as you can possibly carry AND be sure to invite all your friends!! Remember, ALL VEHICLES WELCOME, so they do not have to ride a motorcycle to participate.

Remember, it’s all about the kids. Let’s do this!!!! Let us know you’re gonna be there, by commenting “CHALLENGE ACCEPTED”

This year’s run starts Saturday, November 5 at Wolfchase Galleria and ends near the Navy Base in Millington.
