Family Asking Bikers to Come to Funeral of a Biker Killed by Drunk Driver

The family of Elmer Cook II, a Robertsdale, Ala. biker who was killed by an accused drunk driver is asking the motorcycling community to help escort him to his final resting place.

Elmer Cook II was killed this weekend after his bike broke down and he pulled over to the shoulder of the road to work on it. Police say that’s when Noel Courtland Bergevin drove right into Cook with his Jeep.

Bergevin is charged with manslaughter for taking the rider’s life while being under the influence of alcohol.

Cook’s funeral takes place Sunday, June 9th at Robertsdale First Baptist Church.

His family would love to give him a loud, roaring goodbye. They know Elmer would love to have as many bikers as possible for his final farewell because he had loved being a part of the riding community for many years.

Check out this video of his dad talking for WKRG:

If you are a biker and able to make it to the funeral, please consider going to show support to this fallen brother and his family.
